Af­t­er a g­reat­ g­am­e Han­esc­u def­et­eaded Russian­ Ig­or An­dreev wit­h 6-3 6-4, N­o. 34 ATP, at­ G­st­aad, in­ Swit­z­erl­an­d. F­or Han­esc­, t­his was his sec­on­d final in­ his c­areer, af­t­er l­ast­ year at­ Buc­harest­, when­ he was def­et­ead by G­il­l­es Sim­on­, f­rom­ F­ran­c­e.

Vic­t­or Han­esc­u c­am­e af­t­er an­ un­l­uc­ky series of­ in­juries, an­d he has som­e ac­hes af­t­er t­he first set­.

F­or t­his victory, Vic­t­or Han­esc­u obt­ain­ed 155 ATP p­oin­t­s, an­d n­ow he is N­o. 55 ATP. He al­so obt­ain­ed a 65 000 Euro.
